now the real holidays have finally begun: lazy days, shopping days, beach days!!!
yesterday I spent shopping in the city - although not for me, but to buy some gifts to bring home - yeah, for some of you out there on the other side of the ocean - no chance, I won't tell you what!!!
today I finally found even two new bikinis in miranda and because of that I simply have to go to the beach tomorrow... no, just joking, my sunburn is finally back from cancer-red to brown-red, so I guess that means I'm ready for my boogie-board again...

friends-update: ross and rachel finally have managed to experience their first real kiss!!

Eilan’s I DID IT list:
- swimming in an ocean
- driving on the great ocean road
- Helicopter flight
- Seeing a koala in the free nature
- gambling in a casino
- surfing – well, I tried it at least ;-)
- writing an “I did it – list” ;-)
- seeing a kangaroo (actually in the free nature - well,
almost...
- hugging a koala – hm, that’s gonna be a tough one.. -> no,
I managed!!!!!
- getting really tanned – I’m still working on it… well I think I
managed it, I hope so!!!
- flaschenpost – kitschig again, but again, I’m a girl ;-) - DONE!!!

what’s still to do:

- diving in the ocean
- gambling in a casino and winning! – yeah, it’s gonna be
me who beats the system…
- driving myself on the left side – yeah, I’m a little
coward concerning that, I know.. - car broke down, so it's not
possible...

hab mit entsetzen festgestellt dass schon halbzeit istund daraufhin gleich die ich-bin-noch-nicht-braun-genug-panik-bekommen.... dann musste ich natuerlich den heutigen tag am strand verbringen um das sofort zu aendern ;-)
naja, nicht ganz: ein freund hat ein sms geschrieben dass er beruflich in sydney (und nie vergessen: ausgesprochen [sidni]) ist und ob wir uns treffen - na klar doch! und weil der arme bis jetzt nur in meetings gesessen hat haben wir ihn natuerlich gleich an den strand geschleppt wo er sich einen mords-sonnenbrand geholt hat.. hihi, wird sich morgen im meeting nicht ruehren koennen...

aber nicht nur er, hab mich auch ein wenig verbrannt, trotz grauseliger einschmiererei. naja, hab ja genug after-sun, sollte bis morgen wieder weg sein, damit ich gleich wieder boogie-boarden gehen kann - sehr genial. habs heute auch einem japaner in einem schnell-kurs begebracht, hatte nur fats kein balance-und-wellen-gefuehl der typ, daher eher muehsam. aber strandtag war heute echt nett und relaxing nach der ganzen herum-fahrerei nach melbourne und retour - in cronulla war heute auch so ein kinder-rettungsschwimmer-wettkampf: lauter mini-pams und davids beim staffellauf im sand und beim um-die-wette-paddeln und schwimmen beobachtet, aehnlich wie ein pwk.

haben dann noch ur gut seafood gegessen - also nur ich seafood, die burschen burger - eh klar ;-) - und ein eis. jetzt bin ich schon geduscht und after-gesunnt und total fertig von einem langen beach-day. mal schauen was sich bei friends noch so tut...

long drive to get there, about 10 hours in the car…. Going there, we stopped in canberra, the capital of Australia. Actually it’s a very boring city being artificially designed as people were quarrelling which city (melbourne or sidney) should be the capital – none of those, so ok, let’s build one up….
what did I do in melbourne?
I played in a casino for the first time in my life – lost 50 bucks gambling black jack, but, hey, you are meant to lose, aren’t you? – I had shaking knees for about one hour afterwards, I was so nervous…
I climbed the rialto towers watching the city from above – yeah, it’s nice, but after one day of sightseeing you are like “what else is left to see now?”

cute beach houses, being about 30.000 E to buy…
next day: great ocean road – simply said fantastic: landscapes, cliffs, the ocean, the 12 apostels…. terrififc! Being for the first time in my life in a helicopter – yeah, did a ride over the apostels!!! watched the sunset, ok. very kitschig, but hey, I’m a girl, I’m allowed to, aren’t I? ;-)
on the drive there we also saw two koalas sleeping on a tree – just soooo cute, I’m thinking about taking one home with me – what do you say? ;-)
